Specifications for Papers

Potential presenters must first describe their material for selection by the committee. Three things are needed:

·         A half-page abstract of the ideas and concepts to be presented

·         A half page description of you and your experience

·         The day and topic under which your material fits

This information should be sent by e-mail to the technical program chair, Tom Scroggin, at <tom123435678@earthlink.net>. You may send the material within the body of the message or as a MS Word attachment. Proposals are due by January 31, 2004, but earlier receipt will certainly help. We are committed to letting all know of their selection status by the middle of February.

Formal “papers” are not necessary. We will only publish the half-page abstract and half-page biography in the proceedings. All presentations must use the Microsoft PowerPoint format. All presentations will be burned onto the CDROM. We will hire professional translators from the USA to put our English material into something understandable by the Chinese.

Conference fees of $3,600 will be reduced by $500 for all accepted speakers. Please note that the fees include everything but your souvenir gifts! Airfare, hotel, ground transportation, most meals, and conference participation are all included. Your guests may join you for $2,400. Ask about pricing considerations for alternate airfare arrangements and co-workers.
